Toni is influenced by all types of music. What influences her music the most is experience: situations she has been in, other things that have inspired her. If she had to say what music has influenced her music, it would be broadway music. In broadway music there is always true emotion, and that is what she always makes sure she has when she's writing. But, She loves all music. She grew up listening to rock and roll, particularly The Beatles. In her preadolescent years her father got her into loving country music. Her favorite band of all time is Green Day. She has listened to and loved them since she was about 9 years old. She dreams of meeting Billie Joe Armstrong. Her other favorite musicians include: James Blunt, The Counting Crows, The Used, Pearl Jam, The Dixie Chicks, Missy Higgins, Savage Garden & Darren Hayes, A Fine Frenzy, Snow Patrol, Jack Johnson, Remy Zero, Frou Frou.
Sounds Like
Some people that Toni has been compared to as far as vocals are: Dolly Parton, Natalie Maines from the Dixie Chicks, Amy from Evanescence.
As far as her music, she has been known to say that she likes to think of herself as the female James Blunt because when she saw him in concert, he performed like no one was there. He felt every song while he played and sang the songs he wrote. She truly feels that he is an inspiring musician and he should have won best new artist at the Grammys in 2007.

Born in Ohio, raised in New Jersey, Toni has played the piano since she was five years old, and began writing songs around the age of 11. She dabbles in playing other instruments, but the road always leads back to the piano. While in high school, she was the lead in the high school plays, sang in the Central Jersey Region II Choir for four years where she ranked second in the region, and the New Jersey All-state Choir for two years where she ranked tenth in the state. In 2002, she was a featured soloist at the inauguration of former Governor McGreevey. While attending college, in 2005, Toni sang a track “Just for Once” on the Grammy award winning album “Songs from the Neighborhood”, a tribute to the late Mister Rogers where she worked with various artists including Roberta Flack, John Secada, Amy Grant, Donna Summer and CeCe Winans. Toni has also been working with songwriter and Disney vocal arranger David Friedman, as she’s been auditioning for shows in NYC. Recently, she has released her original debut album “Baby Grand”, message her if you're interested in obtaining a copy. Her orginal music is hard to categorize, but it has been described as piano-based alternative rock. Broadway music definitely influences her original pieces as she balances heartfelt lyrics and powerful vocals. The most common thing people say to her after a show is "I can't believe that voice comes out of you", because yes, she is...petite. She has been told that each of her songs is like reading an excerpt in her diary. Now a seasoned yoga teacher and obtaining her MFA in creative writing, still Toni’s biggest priority is to always strive to strengthen her writing ability and improve as a musician; she believes to create anything is a never ending process.

2 of 230, walkaboutsverse.741.com: WALKABOUT WITH MY PEN
Once drove an old sedan, up north, From a place in Sydney to Cairns; Then to Kuranda I went forth, By train, to look without set plans.
I browsed through the trendy market, With fresh fruits of tropical kind; Walked to the creek through lush thicket - Nature’s hand giving peace of mind.
I dined in a scenic cafe; Then, outside, as I wrote for yen, Some passing Kooris called-out: “Hey, You go walkabout with your pen.”
Request or question, I don’t know - Assured voices, elderly men. That’s now several years ago, And I’ve seen the world - with my pen.
