About me:

Although I started life in Norfolk, Virginia, and spent a fair amount of my younger years in Buchanan, Michigan, it was Melbourne, Florida, that became my home. I lived there from 13-26... minus the years I was in Gainesville partying—I mean, going to school.

In 1992, I moved to Nasvhille, Tennessee, for a job and then moved to Ann Arbor, Michigan, in 1998. Ann Arbor is home to me now. I am a marketing copywriter for a software company located here. My hobby is writer and filmmaking. In fact, I'm currently making a film with my writing/producing partner that we wrote together (www.frogislandfilms/fgbs).

My other big project for the year is surviving cancer. I was diagnosed earlier this year and just finished chemotherapy on July 12. However, I'm doing fantastic and I have a positive outlook. I'm doing a documentary on my experience and am keeping a blog, if you're interested (savage-breast.blogspot.com). This is definitely one of those experiences that makes you stronger!

Update! I no longer have cancer. I beat it! Yes, it was a challenging experience, but I kept a positive attitude throughout everything and found that I was able to beat it with ease and some measure of grace (or at least I hope so).
