The Chicago Chapter of the Ton-Up Club consists of cracking the ton(100mph)on a classic, Not some carbon fiber shrouded super bullet crotch rocket that you see 10 a day of (Thruxtons-Monsters-Speed Triples are OK). Owning and riding a bike with some style, history, chrome fenders (if any), and more momentum than a duel leading shoe can handle. It doesn't have to be British (but it helps), and you don't have to be a ROCKER (but it helps). Ripping up the streets on a homebuilt Cafe with your mates, and being able to do alittle lane splitting when needed. You have to love a good roller derby bout (who doesn't).Having a bike that lets you know when you've reached 100 MPH. You have to like long rides on dark roads to little bars for stiff drinks served by tattoo'ed women. Knowing how to deal with Chicago traffic & survive. You have to love a good pint. You have to try to get the front wheel up on occasion. It also helps to be a real pisser.
All in all the Chicago Ton-Up club is group of guys (& gals) who love owning/riding/wrenching on vintage motorcycles/cars, and are keeping the Rocker lifestyle alive in the best city in the world !
