Influences
My influences are my late father john alles, he was a jazz musician and he exposed me to some great music from a very young age. I also like Ronnie earl, duke robillard, stevie ray vaughan, freddie king, joe pass , barney kessel charlie byrd, wes montgomery, herb ellis, kenny burrell. I go out alot to watch other bands and solo artists and i will always take something away so i suppose i am influenced by every one in this game who i think is worth listening to . Artists who i really admire on the local seen are ian siegal, simon hickling, simon faulks , oli brown , al sansome , paul dickson of the band boogie uproar is another fantastic local guitarist.
Sounds Like
I dont think we sound like anyone . We have our own sound we do play blues standards but we play them in our style. Thats the same for bluesville and the blues demons
I started very late learning to play, but made progress very fast. I got into playing with bands six years ago and built up a reputation on the local blues scene. Bluesville are a shuffle ,funk and swing style band and the blues demons are an acoustic quartet. I want to do more solo gigs and write more songs . I also want to play more festivals and keep improving
