Nicki has created a group page for House Concerts York .. please feel free to join.. Join the Group

I have been involved with booking artists for the last few years - (e.g. Willy Mason, Jacob Golden, Iain Archer), but have now also set up House Concerts (York) with my partner Nicki, which is an independent venture.

Mainly acoustic artists - informal and relaxed gigs. Just 40 places maximum - no profit - just great music on‘our’ doorstep. 20 minutes from the centre of York - 2 hours from London or Edinburgh by fast train.

House Concerts York is not a music venue but non-profit making invitation only private parties. All the donation money is used to pay the performers and cover the small costs of running the event.

Over 70 shows so far.

    To all promoters, venues, musicians, bands, collectives, creative types and those that love their music...

    As you know, the January issue 60 of THE TALK Magazine was the final hard copy print issue of THE TALK Magazine under current ownership. As the Magazine is now for sale I am arranging for a suitable deal to be struck and a smooth handover to suitable new owners. It is important that the magazine is back under your noses very soon and that it still maintains the high level of commitment to information alongside individuality and character as it always has.

    So, until the changeover is finalised THE TALK Magazine will be producing an interim publication which will be LIST. With the same print run of 3000 and being distributed to the same outlets as THE TALK Magazine, LIST will carry all your Music and Arts events for the Yorkshire region.

    Produced by THE TALK Magazine stable, LIST will keep you going for the time being.

    Please submit information regarding March events before the print deadline which is the 10th of February.
