Her Music Beginnings: Tonya started singing at the age of 6. As she grew older, she would go with her father to local jails when he went to preach. He would let her sing. The inmates would get quiet and come to the front bars to hear “the little girl with the amazing voice.”

Tonya, being very close to her parents, saw how they showed compassion toward mankind. She worked right beside her mom and dad as they helped, fed, and showed unconditional love to people in need all over the United States. This album is a compilation of songs that have come from Tonya's life experiences. Tonya's unique voice has people all over the world taking notice of her talent.

In 2006, the legendary Williams Brothers opened their studio doors to this new singing sensation. The music that was born in that studio will touch your soul!

Tonya’s passionate single release, “Put My Hand In Yours,” written by Marvin Winans, is standing-up to some of today’s “hottest” music - both in mainstream and Christian markets. The production and sound quality are second-to-none.

In late January, “Put My Hand In Yours,” was released to Gospel, Soul, Adult Contemporary, and R&B radio stations. During the first week of its radio launch, “Put My Hand In Yours” tied with Alicia Keys’ single, “No One,” for the “Most Added” single on Adult Contemporary Radio.

Most recently, the single charted 2 on the cutting-edge American Idol Underground Radio Faith-based charts and 10 on the American Idol Underground Radio R&B charts. “Put My Hand In Yours” soared all the way to 10 on the Adult Contemporary FMQB charts and catapulted to 18 on the popular XM Radio Gospel charts!

Tonya’s music video for “Put My Hand In Yours” is now being featured on BET’s Video Gospel, Music Choice, Gospel Music Channel‘s – “The Kitchen Sink,” Blastro, and The Word Network. Tonya’s MySpace page is being visited by fans on nearly every continent.

Where has she been: Tonya has been wearing a business suit and continually excelling for the past twelve (12) years in corporate America. She enjoyed a prosperous career as a Senior Account Specialist in the area of Benefits and Retirement Planning for a major Fortune 500 company. For more than 10 years, Tonya has also been the Music Director at her local church. She is a master at leading worship and weekly people travel to Jackson to experience her musical gifts!
