Well, I usually have someone else write my Bio's, but this time I am going to write my own version of the Tonya Watts Bio. I'm living in Nashville after a Ten Year Stay in Los Angeles. I got to see and experience alot of different things. I grew up in Glencoe, Alabama. It's a pretty small town and everything that I am today was born and created from Glencoe. My dad made me tuff and I was taught to never be afraid of anything or anybody. Oh and if someone gets in your face hit 'em. I guess I learned that at a pretty young age. I think things are different now.
Alabama girl in LA~ I was so young and the Hollywood Sign was a paradise I never thought I'd see in person. Here I am. It didn't take me long to figure out that LA is what you make it. If you find someone you can trust or that u connect with hold on to them. I saw a lot of young kids over the years come there and end up on the street. I actually remember putting one kid on a Greyhound bus and paying his ticket to get him home to his family. These kids come out there thinking there going to be stars over night and before you know it they are strung out and living on the street or close to it. Its sad!
So anyway, I got to do some cool stuff... I did some photo Doubling for Pam Anderson on the movie Barbwire, and only a little on Baywatch. I did some extra work on Baywatch. My friend was a regular extra and I would work with her and we would get paid to lay out at the beach all day oh and eat really good too. Those were the days!
It was when I got to play Dolly Parton in the Barbra Mandrell story that I decided to focus on music forever no matter what. Good-bye Movie Star...hello country singer, rock star, poet Tonya Watts...LOL
Wow I never had any idea what I was getting myself into. Once I started writing it got deep under my skin, and I have been on The Writing Binge Journey of Rebellion and Truth Crusade for almost a decade now... I 'd probably be dead if it weren't for finding such a satisfying outlet. Putting my life into music and wow really putting it out there too. I met some guys in LA. They are all a huge part of my influences and I can say I learned and grew as an artist from some really talented Southern Folk I met in Los Angeles. Hollywood does do Country Music and I know cause I have been a part of a great underground music scene right on the streets of Hollywood.I hosted a songwriting night in Los Angeles called "IT CAME FROM NASHVILLE". It got to be a pretty big thing and got lots of press around town. I love rebellious music and I love people who express themselves in whatever form they choose. As long as it doesn't harm people, children or animals that is... .. I love writing songs with Eb Fraley, James Dean Hicks, Brian Gaskill, Earl Brown, Pando, Kevin Fisher, and Jeremy Valdez. I've worked with these poeple for alot of years.
Well, thats alot and enough about me and my friends. However, if you want to know about my music all I can say is What u hear right here on myspace is only a piece of who I am. I go deeper and I am not afraid to bust thru doors and tell the truth like no ones business. I've been thru divorce and I've been cheated on and I've been burned by ALMOST every chic I've ever known, but you know what? I ain't gonna let none of it take my Joy. I hope my music empowers every women out there to kick his ass to the curb ...and if you have to kick her ass to the curb go for it and if you want to say fuck him in your song than say it. I am in love with raw truth. I am in love with babies (new creations of any form to fall in love with) and I am in Love with Poetry and I am in love with Freedom to be who you are and no more labels. Label me if you want but I can promise you're wrong... Cuz Sometimes I don't even know myself so there is no way anyone can make assumptions... BE YOURSELF NO MATTER WHAT! IT FEELS AMAZING!.... LOVE YOURSELF AND DON'T TAKE NO SHIT!~~~~
