The great Marten Luther King is my idea of a hero; also, my ancestor, Admiral Uriah Levi, the 1st Jewish Admiral to serve in the US Navy (1830s or so). Bernstein's an active member of the Science Fiction Poetry Association who's been writing freelance since 05. He's contributed tales, poems, book reviews and even the odd essay to dozens of publications (Space & Time, Helix, Doorways, Illumen, Star Line...). His poem "Piece of Mind" has been nominated for a 2009 Rhysling Award.
"Realityfoil", his debut poetry collection will be out April 2009.
"Bone Vision" his first book of short stories will be out Fall 2010.
Bernstein is also a songwriter and musician who's responsible not only for creating several pro altrock groups, but for composing and recording many of their songs in the role of band guitarist.
