other examples of tony geballe's music are at the tuning the air myspace where you might find recordings of "not my sharona" and "where is the nurse?"
also at trey gunn's myspace, selections from the trey gunn band cds "the joy of molybdenum" and "live encounter" feature tony geballe's playing on guitars and saz.
Tony has produced or co-produced recordings by Kelli Rae Powell, Sun Palace, Lucky Penny, Jo Williamson, Stone Document, and others. His solo 12-string guitar CD Native of the Rain was released on Robert Fripp's DGM label. Tony is currently available as Guitarist, Producer, Composer, Sound Designer, and Editor/Mixer for recordings, theater, and film/video/commercial work. He also teaches guitar.
In 1993 Tony began collaborating with theater director Karin Coonrod, first as Composer/Sound Designer for the Arden Party Theatre Company, and then on various projects including American and World premiers, work at the Classic Stage Company, New York Theater Workshop, The Hartford Stage, and elsewhere. Currently Tony is working with Ms. Coonrod and others on an ongoing project in the streets of Orvieto, Italy with the Colombari Company and in New York on a new piece based on the poetry of Walt Whitman.
Tony studied the dhrupad style of Indian classical music with Ustad Z. M. Dagar, as well as having lessons with the Carnatic singer T. Brinda and the mridangam player G. Dorai. He is very fortunate to have spent a year in Istanbul learning classical Turkish music on the tanbur from Necdet Yasar, and exploring the Turkish folk music tradition on the saz. 2 summers were spent with Ralph Towner and the other members of Oregon, at the Naropa institute. Tony has been associated with Guitar Craft since 1985.

Many thanks for making contact...I first saw you play at a King Crimson Reunion/Playback/DGM launch event in London in 1997.
I was incredibly impressed, both by your work, and how generous you were with your time afterwards - especially considering how inane my questions were!
