Tony Dowlers Hellhounds came together when guitarist /vocalist Tony Dowler, bassist Dave Burns and drummer Steve Tansley joined forces to create what can best be described as the ultimate blues rock power trio.
Whilst between them they have extensively toured with various bands over the years, playing and headlining many festivals throughout the UK and Europe, they have been waiting for the chance to create something special & after playing together some years ago, knew they had the ability to do just that.
Recently the opportunity arose for the three to join together & work on writing original material, which they plan to record & perform on stage, alongside their unique interpretations of music by such greats as Hendrix, ZZ Top, Rory Gallagher, Stevie Ray Vaughan and others.
Currently working from Tony's Manchester studio, the Hellhounds have recently been concentrating on fine tuning their own material & test driving the studio, spending much time working on the best approach to efficiently creating high quality material for future recording projects. Once this process is complete their numerous ideas will follow. With only a few recent gigs mainly in the North West and the occasional festival appearance to provide their eager audiences with a taste of things to come, the band plan to tour extensively throughout the UK and Europe promoting their new material once released. With other new projects in the pipeline ready to follow up, the band will then be set to release and perform new material as it is completed on a regular basis.
