Neon City's leader, Tony Francis is a veteran guitarist who hails from the exotic island of Jamaica. He moved to New York City at the age of 11 and by 21, he had formed Soul Explosion with his bassist, Mike Lopez, drummer, Earl Hutchinson, and keyboardist, Lance Evans. They toured the United States for seven years.
His next band, Skins and Strings, was a trio that played Funk and Soul for four years. Then, Tony joined up with People's Heritage Band that played Reggae and toured the U.S., including Chicago, Miami, Boston and New York. They were together for four years and backed many famous Reggae artists like John Holt, Junior Soul, Mary Isaacs and Ken Booth.
Tony's first CD project MIXED EMOTIONS was recorded in 2000 on his own label, A.D.F. It is a compilation of his original music with him on guitar and Wayne Ricker on computer and keyboards. Also on this CD are vocalists Dee Wilde and Nadine Renee. Featured on bass guitar is James Johnson on "So Long I've Been Waiting"; Mark ? on keyboard strings on "It's Just A Matter of Time", "Love Is" and "Syberfunk"; and John Parnell raps on "Take A Chance On Love".
Presently, Tony is involved in a new project NEON CITY that will be released in 2007.
