I have been a radio DJ in the Corpus Christi area for over 25 years, on 9 different stations. They all had one thing in common, though, I could never play the kind of music I wanted to play because of their top-ten-music mindsets. In fact, on my last job on a country-western radio station, I was fired for playing a Christmas Eve request for Robert Earl Keen's "Merry Christmas From The Family"! Can you imagine that?
