Tony Spinelli began his self-produced independent recording career in 2000 on Napster New Artists, in the genres of bluesrock and alternative country. In 2002 he single-handedly won a nationwide coverband contest sponsored by the NuMetal Band Sevendust, and won MP3 placement on the band's official Website with his bluesy arrangement of their song, "Live Again." Soon later his 2002 CD, "Rain Delays," won exceptional notice as a "connoiseur" work by rock critic Steve Knowlton, and one of the songs off the album, "I'm On My Way Home," was called "probably one of the best 1,000 rock records of all time" by FM college disc jockey Bob Chamenko in Bridgeport, Connecticut. He followed up Rain Delays with the CD "To Touch the Earth," which was based on electric guitars and keyboards, and the modern acoustic progressive "Elisha and the Penny Arcade," based on acoustic guitars and keyboards.
In the fall of 2007 came the 17-track "Affirmation," dedicated to the late Ljiljana Dorothea Bugarchich, his first album to be made available exclusively for digital download. In the spring of 2008 he released "The Fourth Element," which had worked on during the winter. The album spawned a number of Top 5 hits for Tony at world indie radio station hardcoremix.com in Chicago. Tony is now working on his second album of 2008, "Jade Wing Ray."
