Hi Tony - great to see you on Tuesday - Den's show was awesome - and thanks for your great songs too. I love the one about your Dad at Arnhem. I know it's a serious subject and a light hearted tune, but I think it works well. It gives the impression that Gerald appreciates a wicked sense of humour.
I'm looking forward to your Winterval Extravaganza - hope the Blue Beast makes an appearance cheers Martyn
Hi Tony, thank you so much for coming to the Cowling Cottage Concert last night and playing your songs. We really enjoyed having you here and look forward to seeing you again for some seasonal fare and music on 6th Dec!
How do you feel about starting the music at 4pm or is that too early? It'll give us all a chance to get over to Wharfe unplugged that is being relaunched that day. I think Ramon has realised that his future is in the folk scene...

Poem 162 of 230, WalkaboutsVerse (please see my blog): TEES TO TYNE: FIRST IMPRESSIONS - SUMMER 2001
Where traditions are not so rare; Sea, country and works scent the air; A multitude of monuments, Planted tubs and patterned pavements.
The longish pedestrian malls; The remnants of defensive walls; Historic buildings are a gauge Of the respect for heritage.
Wheat, rape and pines in the fields; Estuaries guarded by shields; Long sandy beaches and wide scenes; Romantic-ruin go-betweens.
Rivers in parts licked by trees, Or fringed by boat clubs, wharfs, gantries, And crossed by practical delights - Varied spans, forming pleasing sights.
Fine churches headed at Durham; Football kits ad infinitum; Kept castles - one for study; Masonry behind masonry.
And, with moulding-works out that way, It’s somewhere for a longer stay..?
