Vancouver based musician/songwriter Tony Marriott writes songs that linger in the mind, and hold a depth that demands repeated listening. He is a veteran session bassist with a diverse musical past.
Originally inspired by 60'-70's Brit-rock bands like the Beatles and Led Zeppelin, he grew up (British Columbia, Canada) playing in garage bands and later attended Musicians Institute in Los Angeles, CA., (were he roomed and played in several bands with the late Jeff Buckley), and, Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. This led to gigging and touring with various rhythm and blues act's across the U.S, and was a long time resident of San Francisco's eclectic scene. Eventually returning to Vancouver, where for the next several years, he honed and infused much of this experience into his unique style of song writing. His latest, and third musical offering, 'Solitude', is a diverse collection of songs that run the musical gamut from beatle-esque pop, to shimmering ballads, guitar driven rock and back again. Tony can currently be found testing out new material in various Vancouver venues and maintains busy schedule of teaching, gigging, and producing.

Hey there, Here's one from left field... Ever wondered what to do in the event of a nuclear threat? A while back I came across some very disturbing information, which inspired me to make this video: Living Under the Shadow of the Nuclear Umbrella http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UaIim3Rj7L4 Both artistic (ensure you've good enough sound to enjoy the background music!) and educational, it primarily comprises official British government civil defence advice. Though the source materials are somewhat aged, the fundamentals remain relevant today. I encourage all to visit the YouTube web page above to learn more (Show your support! Rate! Comment!) and responsibly re-post and circulate as widely as possible. Help to raise awareness. Say have you checked out my web site (http://www.faberoptime.com) recently? Take care and keep in touch. Best, Faber. "Just a guy trying to make the world a better place."
