Sounds Like
On guitar, a conglomerate of influences from Frank Gambale to Eric Clapton with a splash of Earl Klugh for taste.
On bass, a cross between the solid bottom & groove of James Jamerson, Chuck Rainey, & Willie Weeks with the sparkle of Chris Squire and a touch of a cocktail comprised of John Pattitucci, Michael Rhodes, Tommy Cogbill, Percy Jones, and Dave Pomeroy.
Experienced instrumentalist on bass (fretless extended range, fretted, electric and upright), guitar (acoustic, 6 & 12 string electric), mandolin, keyboards, and drums, Tony covers a wide range of musical styles with the artists he works with. From folk rock to jazz to big band swing to old school R&B, Tony's diverse musical background meets the need of a variety of artists.
From Gospel great Andre Crouch to Backstreet Boy Brian Littrell, from American Idol finalists Phil Stacey and Mandisa to Jazz artists Marcus Benoit and Cole Broderick, from acoustic performing songwriters Sabrina, Sally Spring, and Roxie Randle to contemporary country artists Tara LaDell and Sage Keffer, Tony brings his experience and musical acumen to every situation in appropriate fashion.
Tony has also performed in the house band of the TV talent search special "Gifted" and with Denver & The Mile High Orchestra.
Currently, Tony is on tour with Point of Grace and Mark Schultz this fall during their Come Alive tour. He continues to work with Sabrina (Check her myspace site at www.myspace.com/justsabrina for more information) as String Allies (Check out their site at www.myspace.com/stringallies).

Hey Tony, Happy New Year to you as well. I'm originally from Scotland and they celebrate New Year in a big way there. We went out for a meal with some friends from church this year. Had a great time and we are excited about 2009. Hey, I sent you a friend request on Facebook sometime ago and got a message from you, but you don't appear in my friend list. If you only add close friends that's ok. Still hoping to see you guys some day. Have a great year!
Good to hear from ya! Its me Tyson from Mary-Kathryn's tour at Atlanta Fest. Add me as a friend at myspace.com/tysonbowman too! Check out the tunes also!
ahhh yes. the Ibanez Roadstar II. LOVE THAT BASS! Its so easy to play. That was my "slap" bass. Extra light strings. ROUNDWOUNDS of course. Then a lil' piece of duct tape around my thumb. Ala Mark King.... That was the one man! I'll always have this bass. Sentimental, ya know?
man.... everyone was great last night. Denver and the cats welcomed me and it was very cool. It's been awhile since I've played that loud, but it was sure fun! HA!
Bless you bro! Let me know if I can help out ever again.
