IMPORTANT NOTE- MUSIC BOOKINGS AT THE BEDFORD OR REGAL
Sorry to everyone that contacts me via myspace to ask about gigs but I only use this as a personal site, the best way to make contact for bookings and to get info about live events is via email.
I was honoured to spend 2 days over Easter in Basra, Iraq with the fabulous Laura Critchely where we got a chance to see and meet some incredible people.
It was quite humbling to have visited a couple of the local schools and met the most polite and well behaved children I could imagine, despite being in a place that had almost no facilities for them. Their spirit and the energy they had was amazing.
We also had the chance to really see what was happening as well as play some impromptu gigs in the strangest of places.
LETS TALK MUSIC
I was very excited to present my own, 1 hour show LIVE every Thursday night at 8.35 pm on Maltese TV in 2008. It was called Lets Talk Music and featured a great panel of guests each week who talked with me about a different subject in the music business, plus we had some special music guests..

Here is the Christmas special of our Bedford Bandstand Vodcast series...where I introduce and interview(?) myself with 3 exclusive live tracks.
This is a video for a brand new song I wrote towards the end of last year called SHAKE YOUR TREE (For Me). I was given incredible inspiration to compose something that I am now very proud of..Thank you.
I asked my friends RICCARDI (who played on my album) to once more join me to record the track. We managed to finish all the music and vocals in about 12 hours. Then we took another day to mix it.
It is such a sensationally "visual" track that I imagined Baz Luhrman making a video for it like MOULIN ROUGE part 2! However, with no money and limited facilities I had an idea of how to make the video in a different way.
So I spent an afternoon tracking down some old silent movie footage, "captured" it into my laptop and (initially) with Adobe Premiere and then Sony Vegas (video editing programmes) I put it all together through the night - It took about 8 hours in total, then I re- edited it to tidy it up and put in some extra footage which took another couple of hours...
This is the result
I would really appreciate your feed back, and if you like it..please feel free to add to your profile and let more people get to shake their tree's
Peace and Love
The opening track of my album. I call this is a Videomentary as it combines documentary footage of some of the people I saw and places I visited on my recent US tour plus "lip synching" shots that were captured in odd locations.
This is a video for the last track on my album (available on iTunes and at www.tony-moore.com)..It has been my most ambitious to date and took about 3 months to complete as there is footage from all over the world

thanks for joinng me here, following is little background on me.: (written in "press release speak!)
With an eclectic career of music-making that spans over two decades to draw on, Tony has just finished a brand new solo album entitled “Perfect and Beautiful”. Self produced and mixed by the Legendary Chris Kimsey (Rolling Stones/INXS) the album is filled with hook-laden melodies, powerful and moving words and some of the best new musicians in London as guest performers, creating compelling performances that hark back to the great days of record-making in the 70’s.
Group program director for BFBS Radio, Marc Tyley describes lead track SHAKE YOUR TREE as….
"The missing song from Moulin Rouge, a stunningly lavish production, tempered with excess ! ..I love it."
Tony’s passionately musical past includes being keyboard player in Cutting Crew (I just died in your arms tonight) through the mid 80’s. Then, during the 90’s, he wrote, played, recorded, produced and toured with Marie Claire D’ubaldo (author of Falling into you for Celine Dion).
He was responsible for creating and building the Kashmir Klub in 1997. The Kash (as it was affectionately known) was a unique venue in central London that almost single-handedly lead the singer/songwriter acoustic revolution in the UK with debut performances from Damien Rice, KT Tunstall, Imogen Heap, Lucie Silvas, Tom Baxter as well as secret sets from Sheryl Crow, Mick Fleetwood, Dave Stewart and many more.
In 2003 Tony took over running The Bedford in Balham. under his musical stewardship the venue, has grown into an award winning location. In 2004 it won Best Pub in the country, it has twice won the best pub and club award and has seen unique performances from Pete Townshend and The Finn Brothers amongst hundreds of others. The Bedford has also played a significant role in the development of artists like Paolo Nutni, James Morrison, Amy Macdonald and now look out for Dave Gibson !
At the end 2004 Tony Moore was made the sole Inductee into the MMF (Music Managers Forum) Roll Of Honour for outstanding contribution to the British Music Industry.
From Sept 2003 until December 2005 Tony hosted a weekly overnight show on Radio BBC London that mixed informal live performances from some of the countries most talented musicians and songwriters, creating a unique platform for promoting a new generation of long term recording artists.
2006 saw Tony bringing his uplifting blend of memorable music and profound lyric writing to a wider audience as his critically acclaimed acoustic performances and timeless album started to win him a new generation of fans around the world.
Quotes about Tony Moore:
“Tony believed in me, gave me a stage to be seen and a platform to be heard. I loved those days - we had fun and Tony will always be a legend to me!!!!" Paolo Nutini
“Tony is a total rock of strength to anyone doubting that music is their path in life - I aspire to remain as in love and involved with it as he is.” KT Tunstall
"Tony's passion for music is clear for anyone to see. He makes anything seem possible and has been a huge force in my career so far”. Lucie Silvas
In December 2006 he launched The Regal Room in Hammersmith, which has quickly become one of London's most intimate and beautiful acoustic spaces.
Since the Autumn of 2006 Tony has been working closely with "AEG Live" in the development of The indigO2, the fabulous new Theatre in The O2 Dome.
He produced and hosted a series of highly successful monthly shows called The Bedford Bandstand that have starred acts as diverse as Lucie Silvas, Nizlopi, Judie Tzuke and Kiki Dee.
During August 2007, Tony embarked on a unique touring concept called Acoustic Airwaves. As a newly qualified pilot he took a small single engine aircraft, putting a PA system and music equipment in the back and flying himself to 15 different airfields around the country where he set up and played informal acoustic sets to raise money and awareness for Teenage Cancer Trust. This never before attempted tour was such a success that he plans to visit the whole of the UK followed by some selected locations in Europe and the USA next year.

This became such a popular show that it is being repeated again for the 3rd time during the Summer of 2008.
