Tony Oller enjoyed his third television appearance within a 7 month period when he was chosen as a Junior Singer on the hit CBS TV show Star Search in 2004 at age 12. Over 2,000 adults and children with a variety of talents auditioned in Houston. Tony was one of only two people invited to Hollywood out of that group. During the incredible week at the Star Search studio, he and other hopefuls rehearsed songs and worked with a vocal coach and choreographer daily in hope of being one of those chosen to be on the show. His hard work paid off and he got his wish. On May 2, 2003, 12-year-old Tony sang the song "I Think She Likes Me" on live television before 12 million viewers watching nationwide. He gave a fabulous performance and earned rave reviews from all four judges. He and hilarious host Arsenio Hall enjoyed each other’s company and spent the afternoon together, laughing, joking and singing before the show.
Star Search followed his TV singing debut at age 11 on "Showtime At The Apollo" where he was introduced as Apollo’s "Star of Tomorrow" guest singer. His debut on the famed Apollo stage continues to live in Tony’s heart as one of his favorite performance opportunities (to watch, click on videos under profile pic). The producers of "The Jenny Jones Show" saw Tony’s Apollo performance and requested he sing on "The Jenny Jones Show Christmas Special". His fun episode debuted December 24, 2003 in which he shared the stage with other talented kids, including the up-and-coming boy group B5! Several months later he got his third incredible singing opportunity when he burst onto the "Star Search" stage.
Here’s what the Star Search in-studio judges had to say about Tony’s performance:
Naomi Judd: "If I was 40 years younger, you’d be carrying my books. You’re a charm-a-rama. I have to give you 5 stars - you’re just too cute!"
Ben Stein: "He’s the best country singer we’ve ever had on this show. Amazing voice, amazing talent, amazing self-possession on stage..." (Naomi Judd interjects "He’s a Boy Scout! Oooh!") "...AMAZING self-possession. 5 rockin’ stars!"
Ahmet Zappa: "How do I get to be that cool? I mean, you’re cool!" (Tony interjects "YOU’RE cool!") "No, no, YOU are cool. You’re lookin’ bad to the bone. You sang, you worked the audience. 4 stars - you were awesome!"

Welcome to the ONLY official Tony Oller Music MySpace site on the web! I am a professional actor and a singer/songwriter - this site is about both my music and acting. I'm all about the ROCK AND ROLE, baby! ;). Five songs that I wrote and sang called "There for Me", "Hey You", "Love At First Sight", "Change" and "Life Goes On" plus my cover of Gavin DeGraw's "Follow Through" are up here right now. I am VERY excited and blessed to be in a new Disney Channel hit series called "AS THE BELL RINGS" which premiered on August 26, 2007!! I play "Danny" in this comedy short series. We HEART Tony Oller, the As the Bell Rings cutie. As adorable as he is on TV, he's even nicer in person. (Yes, our dreams recently came true and Popstar! had an in-person meet-up with Mr. Supertalented!)
Tony, whose own videos are always so funny, out-funnies himself with this, a response to the question: "Would you like to address any rumors about yourself, and are you single?"
Not really but I did star in the film called "I Flunked Sunday School", an independent feature film released in 2007. It made it's television debut on TBN (Trinity Broadcasting Network) July 7 and August 6. (The August airing date was set by the Trinity Broadcasting Network's program director because it was his birthday and he said he wanted to air "I Flunked Sunday School" as his birthday gift to himself!) I played the young version of the lead character (young Lloyd Boyd, the boy who flunked Sunday School).

Seventeen year old Tony Oller has been acting and singing for nearly 8 years. He discovered a love of performing at age 9 when he was cast in a community theater production of "Grease". He has since progressed to television, independent/industrial films, national commercials and Equity theater in Houston and Los Angeles. Although he stumbled into the entertainment business, it quickly became his passion. Tony learned how incredibly tough it can be but he decided to live by the motto "Always dream. Never give up." Through years of professional training and hard work he is realizing his goals of working in feature film and television. Based upon his work in Los Angeles, he has been invited to join the prestigious Screen Actors Guild. As a testament to hope and perseverance, Tony has landed a lead role in a network television series. After wishing upon many stars (and going on over 250 auditions), fate stepped in to see him through. He plays 'Danny' in a new Disney Channel comedy short series called "As The Bell Rings"! The show premiered on August 26, 2007.
Equal to acting is his love of music. He has sung on several television shows: "STAR SEARCH", "SHOWTIME AT THE APOLLO" and "THE JENNY JONES CHRISTMAS SPECIAL". Besides singing (he's been a vocal student for 6 years), Tony also takes piano and guitar lessons and enjoys playing his drums and his saxophone (alto and tenor). He was a member of his school concert band for 4 years and was in marching band in his freshman year. Tony has another goal to become a recording artist. He'd love to get signed by a record label and find a great collaboration for creating some cool and innovative pop/rock music!
His dance training includes hip-hop and tap dancing with some ballet in his early youth. Naturally he was teased about ballet from the other boys at elementary school. But he was smarter than to let it make him too mad because he knew two things they didn't know: Dance class improved his sports agility and, most importantly...it is where Tony found all the cute girls with the best moves!! The boy/girl ratio definitely worked in his favor! As a young teen, he was a proud member of Planet Funk's Slam Squad hip hop dance troupe (Jason Anderson, choreographer) and has taken master classes in hip-hop dance from Wade Robson and Shane Sparks in L.A. He recently trained at Planet Funk with Jason Anderson who also teaches in New York City.
Tony is solidly guided by the three most important things in life: Faith, Family and Friends. He's proud to be a regular fun-loving guy who attends public high school and maintains an A-B average. At school Tony currently belongs to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes club (where he occasionally sings at the morning meetings and Key Club (he helped paint a Habitat for Humanity home and he earned over 50 total service hours in 2007, many for his work with Cross Wind Productions, a teen film ministry program). His many hobbies include playing on a baseball league (for the past 11 years)...cruising the mall with the guys for the sole purpose of eating pizza & checking out girls!...going to movies...girls!!...playing his drums...girls!!!...hanging out with all of friends...girls!!!!...playing Guitar Hero...and, what else?...text messaging GIRLS!!!! If acting and singing don't work out, he could probably become a professional text messager! ;)
