I play drums, I lecture in Fine Art and I paint. Drum sets include a white Pearl Masters Custom, 70'S Ludwig in Black Diamond Pearl and a monster eight piece Pearl MLX Kit with a 24 inch, heavy Bass Drum (known as the Burden!) and a hand made Richmo kit with Slingerland fittings. Snare drums are rotated between vintage Ludwigs, a Gold 70'S Hayman, a Gretsch and a couple of Mapex Black Panthers in Steel and Brass. Also presently restoring a Stratford Besson kit in lovely green sparkle. I am using an early 70's Ludwig Super Classic for all of my recent gigs. It is black-24inch bass drum-14 inch mounted tom-18 inch floor tom and the Classic Bonham Ludwig snare. This kit used to belong to Adam Ant.
Playing for and recording with Kappa, Dead Cowboys, Hammer of the Gods and Uncomfortably Numb at the mo-past bands are to numerous to mention but notably include Kit, C-Stripey, Grass Soup and a Bad Anorak 404 recording. More recently I have been rehearsing and gigging with Pete Wylie and the Mighty Wah!
My painting schedule is extremely busy and I have a studio based practice in Liverpol city centre with an ongoing exhibiting schedule. My last large exhibition was in Germany and closed mid feb 07.
Who I'd like to meet: Lucy Lippard, Buddy Rich, Martin Kippenberger, Sigmar Polke, Carravagio, Jo Jo Mayer, Steve Smith, Chad Wackermann, Terry Bozio, Aynsley Dunbar, Chester Thompson and Frank Zappa.

Tony Baker: Thought you'd like to see the old Ludwigs in their new skin. I have kind of a matching shirt that I wear, so the guys say I look like a floating head back there. I would have loved to have been there at the festival....will you guys be posting any videos? How does one go about getting on the festival bill? Just in case we can possibly do it next year. Thanks, Mike
Tony: We are doing fine! Had our last gig before the busy Fall season begins for us at the store. It was our annual benefit street dance/concert where we raise $ for the local Fire Dept. It went really well with hundreds of people showing up for the show and they kicked in a lot of $ for the charity. I'm sure you guys are as busy as ever! We talk about THE band. Kappa, all the time.
