Members: Rafnar Orri Gunnarsson vox/guitar, Jakob Pálmi Pálmason lead guitar, Bjarni Siguróli Jakobsson bass-guitar and Reynir Hannesson is the drummer.
The band comes from Húsavík (pop. 2500) which is in the northern part of Iceland. Members are all 18 years old. They had been playing together for several years when they decided to call the band Tony the Pony. They decided to put more effort into the songmaking and spent endless hours in the garage. Under that name the band signed up for Músiktilraunir 2004 and ended up in third place . In December 2004 the band released it´s first album entitled: Ípí (Icelandic spelling for EP). It inlcuded six songs and got fine reviews. Morgunbladid gave it three stars out of five and Frettabladid called the band very promising as well as Morgunbladid. Tony the Pony played on Airwaves for the first time last year and made a promo cd that got four stars out of five in Morgunbladid. Now, Tony the Pony practising and writing songs for their upcoming CD that will be out soon. They released a single from their upcoming album early in 2006, "Army of the sun". That song was very popular on the rock station XFM where it got to the top 10 and X-id 977 where they made it up to third place. They also released a music video with that single. Army of the sun gives a good taste for their upcoming album.

Föstudagurinn 14. Desember er fyrsti í prófloka/jóla-djammi og þá er það Dj F.E.X. frá Frakklandi sem er aðal málið, en hann kemur fram á Organ á Barcode kvöldi. Það er nokkuð ljóst að bærinn verður iðandi af lífi og því um að gera að mæta snemma til að tryggja sér aðgang að þessum háklassa skemmtistað.
