"Tony Zobeck is the 'real thing' – a young star on the rise. Honest in his intentions and his songwriting, Zobeck wears his heart on his sleeve... he's vulnerable, sensitive, passionate and vocally compelling. Definitely a career to watch."
- Cori Waters, host of KVIK 104.7's Local Lixx - Decorah, IA
"Reminiscent in style and emotion to Damien Rice, Cary Brothers, and Matt Nathanson, Tony Zobeck's thoughtful lyrics, lingering melodies, and warm voice has made him one of our favorite in-studio guests. It's difficult to imagine anything but a bright future for this young talented singer/songwriter."
- Marcus Allen, Program Director for KDEC 100.5 FM - Decorah, IA
"If your looking for that "Once in a lifetime love affair" you're in the right place. That's what Tony's music is a love affair. His music is soulful and romantic. He touches places rarely touched with his words, voice and music. I am very proud to play him and to call him a friend. Give him a listen and get swept away."
- Skys, IndiShowcase, www.awesomeradio.net
"Tony Zobeck is a personal friend of mine and is genuinely a kind, beautiful, and talented person! I bought his CD at a coffee shop this summer, and haven't been able to take it out of my CD player! Maybe it's because I know him and I'm so proud of him, but Tony's music truly speaks to your soul. It tells stories and it allows you to feel part of those stories. As a person in the music industry, I see Tony as an up and coming fantastic artist. Entertaining and beautiful!"
- Brittany Styles, Z93.3 FM - La Crosse, WI
"The hook, melody and overall delivery of "Mourning the Cause" is quite appealing and showcases Tony's abilities as a writer and performer."
- Tyra D. Buburuz, IMG Music Promotions Inc, Canada
Blues-tinged acoustic rock is in its peak form when written and performed by such talent as Tony Zobeck. This brilliant musician has mastered the quiet but compelling power of acoustic music, drawing on the classic power of blues as well as his own soul’s internal fire.
Making Sense
Music for Zobeck is about making sense of life. Music channels the emotions and events of our lives into nuggets of song that entertain us and also offer catharsis. “Music gives me the ability to make sense of my life. It allows me to delve into the happy moments, the struggles and everyday stressors that define who we are and in turn makes everything seem so clear.” Few artists can deliver songs that boast the potency of expression and lucidity with which Zobeck’s songcraft is infused.
My Stories and Yours
Music allows great songwriters to find peace through the sharing of their own tales while simultaneously offering a journey of self-discovery to the listener. There is a universality of experience that a talented artist can touch upon to find the common denominator between performer and audience. “To me, music is a form of self-expression, an art form that allows one to not only relay their stories with others, but also help others understand their own perceptions of life through music.”
The Artist at Work
Zobeck has a number of venues scheduled to bring his impassioned music on the stage through out Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Iowa. That is just the start of spreading the word! He released his debut solo effort ; an album entitled "Mourning the Cause" in May of 2007 and is currently set to release his second solo album entitled "Fragments" in June of 2008.
