oh, heck, we don’t know. band names in general tend to be kinda corny, but people get used to them. it was funny at the time, okay? you had to be there…
sun-blessed, juicy musical goodness, there to please. take a big bite from our harvest; tasty organic indie rock, grown locally by a dedicated bunch of Swabians with not a hydroponic frill or fancy in sight.
kind of sums up tools and tomatoes, we think. metaphor found and stretched as far as we care to, so let’s move on...
we play mostly up-tempo, melodic indie rock sprinkled with mellow, more emotional moments. one thing’s for sure – book us and we’ll rock your patch! sorry, couldn’t resist that one. this fruity foursome is all about making your event the biggest party around. fun is the name of the game; we’ll be working up a sweat as we rock you into a vitamin-rich frenzy. ask anyone who’s heard us play before and they’ll tell you that when the tomatoes are in town, we rock the place and the place stays rocked. end of.
here’s our not-so-secret list of ingredients to make your tastebuds tingle: crunchy, fresh guitar riffs on a bed of classic drum beats and savoury bass lines topped off with distinctive, fruity vocals. voilà! your spicy tomato experience is ready.

was zum henker haben gemüse und werkzeug mit rockmusik zu tun?
da man sich über die jahre hinweg an so manch anderen bescheuerten bandnamen gewöhnt hat, wird es in diesem fall auch nicht anders sein.
sonnengereift, saftig und lecker! indie rock, handgemacht von zupackenden schwäbischen händen ohne extravaganzen.
so lässt sich tools and tomatoes eigentlich ganz gut beschreiben. auf weitere interpretationsversuche verzichten wir an dieser stelle einfach mal.
wer's genau wissen will: die vier paradiesfrüchtchen aus dem raum stuttgart stehen für schnellen, melodischen indie rock, bei dem aber auch emotionale töne nicht fehlen. die tomaten rocken das haus - egal wo! das augenmerk liegt dabei auf dem spaß, den sie mit ihrer musik haben. vielfach wurde bestätigt: die show kann man, für band und publikum gleichermaßen, als schweißtreibend bezeichnen.
dabei kocht das gemüse alles ohne geheimrezept:
man nehme eine crunchige gitarre auf klassischem bumm-tschak rhythmus mit kernigem bass, gewürzt mit einer rauen stimme - fertig ist der leckere tomatensound.
