This site is a networking site, created as a handy tool to help you find cool music groups in Topanga, California, and to promote local music. Click on the "friends" list below, to see the sites of great groups from Topanga. You'll be able to hear their music, and find out when they're performing.
This site was created by Gayle Ellett, for the benefit of Topanga bands and the people who love local music.
He created and produced the CD "Topanga, Music Of The Mountains", featuring 18 local groups performing Ballads and mellow music, as a fund-raiser to help our great Community House. This CD is a fantastic collection of Topanga bands, and is available at Topanga HomeGrown, Mimosa, and other locations around town for about $10, and ALL the profits go to the Community House!
He has also just produced its sequel: "Rhythms Of Topanga", which features a different collection of 18 local bands performing fun, up-beat dancey music, again as a fund-raiser for the Community House. Get yours soon, before they're sold out. They are available around town.
The Record Release Party for "Rhythms Of Topanga", featuring 6 of the groups playing live here in Topanga, was May 12th 2007. It was a SUPER FUN Party! Studebaker, Lost Tribe, Old Bull, City Fritters, Johnny Blue Trio and Topanga Mountain Tree-O all played great! Hundreds of people attended, and all had fun.
