ZVCR Radio Personality, VI Hot 5 TV Host, Club DJ, Topgunner DJ Bertrum has come long way from House Parties and School dances. Host of the 2005 and 2006 Heineken Green Synergy DJ Competition, This Top Gunner is Dominating the party scene throughout the British Virgin Islands.
Growing up on the East End of Tortola, Birch Lettsome was known amongst his peers as the one who brought the music to the party. Back then he was just into making mix CDs, a hobby that soon jumpstarted his career as a DJ. Bertrum boasts of fresh skills that combine the brand new tunes with the oldies. Mixing Back and forth between Dancehall, Soca, Hip Hop, R&B, Zouk, he describes his style as Party Vibes.
Five years deep in the mix, Bertrum's Determination, drive and disciplined work ethic has earned him the name Top Gunner. On any given weekend you might catch DJ Bertrum hosting or Juggling big events around the BVI, he travels fequently and has made appearances in places like St. Lucia, St Maarten, Anguilla, St Thomas, St Criox and the Bahamas. During the week DJ Bertrum keeps it Refreshingly cool with his two hour mix show the Heineken After Party on ZVCR 106.9FM also heard on WWW.ZVCR1069FM.COM. Weekly he is seen on JTV Channell 55 with his new hot Countdown TV Show the VI HOT5.
Apart from Travels and success on the radio, DJ Bertrum remains focus; his philosophy is that "making it is progressive; i don't think i will ever feel like i've made it because when you think you're on top it relaxes you. There is always something you can do better or something new for you to learn." Bertrum Credits his sucess to his Mentor DJ Wiz and all DJ's who came before him regardless the recognition they received, since they all play a part in creating current opportunities in the industry today.

He has shared mics with a few notable entertainers such as Dj Enuff and Tony Matterhorn, Shurwayne Winchester, Pressure, Tanya Stephens, Baby Cham, Mr Vegas to name a few.
In 2005 Bertrum Joined forces with Heineken once again and Organized, Promoted and Hosted the First Local Green Synergy Competition.
Other events that Bertrum has rocked includes, The Guinness Black and White Affair, Zvcr’s Wet Fete and Anniversary Parties, The Rotaracts Annual Blue Jeans Party and now hosts his Annual Birthday Bashment for his fans to look forward to.
In 2007 he teamed up with the TRU LIMERZ association and they host regular partys which including Last Class Jam, Sleep ova Jam, Blackout, School Uniform Jam, Flag Fete and more to come.
This Top Gunner rocks crowds in the Virgin Islands with his unique style of blending and remixing the hottest Soca, R&B, Hip Hop and Dancehall tracks in clubs such as Club Renaissance, the Bat cave, Club diplomat, Limers, Virgin Queen and Treehouse.
