About me:
...... .. .. LOL!!!! Where do I start! Ditzy, clumsy, feisty, always lost; not a single ounce of navigation sense, giggly, never (I mean NEVER!) get a joke's punchline, but once it is explain to me I can not absolutely stop laughing (peeing optional), goofy, prankster, gutsy, I guess a bonafide Bimbo, lovable flirt, but don't you dare call me an Airhead! I won't have any of that, Capiche? So, I know I haven..t posted anything lately, but it is because I..m on the road. After spending a week in Ecuador, I..m currently in Bogata, Colombia and tomorrow I..ll fly to Cartegena, thereafter Venezuela. I shall post my dossier soon, but I was extremely busy before I left the USA with preparations. Ok! so, I still haven't posted the dossier, but maybe I will today. LOL!!!!! I guess you can say, I'm a proscratinator, I'm, So be it! Can't change who I am. At the moment I'm in Margarita Island, Venezuela. Tomorrow I fly to Madrid for a couple of days and then I spend the rest of July in Morocco. I met a girl in S. America and she is joining me, so we will be two wandering bitches in one of the most beautiful country in the world. In August, I'm off to Russia where I plan to take trains to Beijing, China via the Silk Road Central Asia. My passport has visas for Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgystan. -No easy task may I add. I'm sure the good lord will guide me in the right direction. Upon arriving in Beijing, I'll spend two months attending the Beijing International Arts school working on my fitness and studying Mandarin. I really love China and think that the people are one of the nicest in the world. I will also, of course, study Chinese Cuisine, Dim Sum! Then it is time for another 10 day holiday break in one of the world's best culinary spot, Thailand! Mid-November I'm due to arrive in Nepal and Tibet where I hope to experience a ride on the world highest train, the roof of the world. I read somewhere that in Nepal you can take a flight to Mount Everest and then trek two hours to Mt Everest base camp. I hope this is true because I'm lazy and I can't even begin to imagine doing the entire trek by foot. God, are you listening to my prayers?! Now, back to food! December's plans include a culinary workshop in 9 Indian cities finishing off in beautiful Goa for a relaxing Christmas break. I'm really excited because after discovering authentic Indian cuisine during last year's travels (it is not that popular in mainstream USA) I really wish to take this opportunity to learn it properly in its native cities. and yes, I plan to return to beautiful Africa after christmas for 6 weeks to volunteer and just spend more time there. I really enjoyed my time last year and the people are really friendly. Kenya's and Tanzania's biggest draw are, of course, safari tourism and this is sector where I'll be volunteering. After arriving in Nairobi I'll take the train through the Serengeti (regarded as the world's most enchanting train ride)to Mombassa where I'll spend most of my time. Where next? Oh Yes, back to the Middle East, a region filled with friendly hosts where I always manage to have loads of fun and eat really well. After spending a few days in Cairo I fly to Jordan. Hopefully, conditions will permit me to visit Beirut, Lebanon (as last year was a no-go because of the bombings) as it is only a 3 hour ride by car and then I'll spend some time soaking in the world's best desert scenery in Petra, Wadi Rum, and the Dead Sea. I don't know what it is about the Middle East, because it is bloody hot only made worse by the fact that I must cover my upper body with a shawl or cardigan along with a long skirt (and no! nobody wears a burqa)and chaotic city/bazaar scenes -the place magically draws you in. It works wonders for my ADHD. Yes, the USA! Ok, but only for a day while I transfer routes in Atlanta to re-enter Latin America. I'm sure I'll take this golden opportunity to post excess luggage home. I'll fly to Panama and for the rest of my trip I'll be travelling and volunteering (and enjoying reggeaton!)in Cuba, Guatemala, Honduras, Costa Rica, and Nicaragua before making my way back up to Houston, Texas! Tomorrow, I say good-bye to the comforts of Margarita Island, good rum, and plenty of reggeaton, for a fast and furious adventurous trek throughout Morocco with my new friend. (oh, Fab-Fatty needs to go on a diet) This is my life! Living it just like my childhood idol Christopher Columbus. A life filled with independence and today is Independence Day in the USA. Not every leader in the world believes in this idealogy, and as a 3 year Naval Veteran, I wish our troops a joyous day and a safe return home. "and everyone experiencing the world." Mwah!!!
