Hey there. My name's Al Sandbrook, Alex for long and I'm an amateur electronica (horrible word, but it seems to best fit) music producer based in Birmingham, England. After a few years of merely listening to music and never dreaming I could actually make it myself, I thought "hey, Alex, why don't you make it yourself?!" I promptly set about realising I was right and got my arse in gear and, with a little help from a friend or two, started out on my quest. I'm not sure what the quest is of yet, but I'm pretty sure it involves making sounds that go 'scruuurtyxxxxxzzz'.

It's the ever impressive Mr. Elephant at The Hare 'n' Hounds in Kings Heath. There's free CDs and Kazoos and all sorts of cabaret based behaviour as well as the usual excelent line up of bands and DJs (including Marc Reck and Lopan), undoubtedly some drumming shenanigans and probably some drinks offers too.
On Saturday it's the last Dirty Soul System Allnighter at The Church Inn. If you've not been before, this is your last chance. If you have, you know you won't want to miss this. It'll be another blend of beats covering Dubstep, Breakbeat and D&B and all for the very reasonable price of absolutely buck Shee! I'm warning you now, you may find yourself staggering out of the place in a semi-deranged state at 9 O'clock Sunday morning.

In conjuction with Beatport, we are running a competition for you lot to remix "Shack 54" from the Two Lone Swordsmen album Wrong Meeting 2. The winning entry will be released digitally on Beatport initially, followed by other download sites. It may also be featured on a forthcoming remix album. A percentage of royalties will be paid to the winning producer...
