Bump City is Nashvilles one and only Tower of Power tribute band. Dedicated to faithfully reproducing the funky soul of the TOP, Bump City combines sexy grooves, exacting musical chops and fantastic showmanship to create Nashvilles best dance party.
Founded in 2004 by tenor saxophonist Chris West and bassist Jerry Navarro, the ensemble boasts alumni from Tao Jones, The Transcendental Crayon Ensemble, The Super Action Heroes and The Guy Smiley Blues Exchange. Drawn together by their mutual love for the Tower of Power, Bump City performs TOP classics from the 70s through their latest releases.
A night with Bump City is a nonstop dance party combined with an staggering stage show featuring a dozen musicians and one of the best horn sections in Music City. The next time you find yourself at home on a Saturday night asking yourself the musical question What is Hip?, Bump City is your answer!

followers!! Sorry for the
disappearing act. Maggie cracked her head open during a basement show, so we’ve
been out(no pun intended) for awhile. She is almost better so when that happens
we’ll be back in the recording studio. In the meantime, we did manage to
convince our buddies at myspace.com/onryeproductions to let us do the video
game SFX that are on their newest episode.

This Saturday The Levees will be at Douglas Corner with two very special guests joining us all the way from Louisiana. Monty Russell and General Patterson co-wrote "Electric Shoes" with us. Monty and the General start at 8:30 at Douglas Corner. The Levees go on at 9:30.
