*If Heaven's Basement was to bend Velvet Revolver over a dumpster in a dark and dirty alley, the bastard child would sound something like this."Classifying Torch Le Monde is near on impossible. They somehow manage to combine the huge production of modern melodic rock with the raw sound of sleaze infused dirty grunge. Can you imagine anyone ever sounding like Alice In Chains-meets-Nickleback? I thought not"*

Notorious for their blinding musicianship and chaotic live performances, Torch Le Monde hope to bring their astonishing brand of rock and roll to the mainstream.
After just a string of shows in hometown Sydney, street buzz alone saw the band selling out all local shows. Before long, an insatiable demand for the bands charisma and energy consumed the local live scene. This early hard work in the live arena earned the boys a fanatical (and refreshingly diverse) following. The kind who will sing every word to every song before it’s even been recorded.
Recorded and released in late 2007, their debut EP showcased all the promise of a great band. While elevating their status locally and internationally (with radio play), the offering proved the bands recorded potential. Just released, the new EP “Eat The Words” exhibits these strengths and a new emphasis on the power of song. “We just want to play great songs, real, raw and identifiable, songs that people can have and hold” says Joel. “We’re finding that balance between blowing their heads off and giving them something to dance too.” A collective gift for songwriting, merciless live delivery and the real ability to connect with people, set this band apart from any other.
To compare TORCH LE MONDE to any other on planet earth would be a futile practice, to hop on board and ride it out as the world goes up in smoke would probably be a better idea.
