I was born in Bergen, 1968. I have 4 brothers and sisters, am married to Gerd Karin and has 3 kids, Kim André(12), Stig Rune(9) and Silje Veronica(4).
At the age of 11,I started a "cellar"-band called, SUNLIGHT(named after a famous SOAP-brand). And, back in 1986, I started playing the keyboards in a Christian choir, called KEY. I also had a gig with Helge Nyheim's Project, a local band-project from Vaksal.I went on a tour with the choir around the region of Hordaland. In 1987, I was "headhunted" by a band called AMARILLO. Now, the road of music was set...After quite few years playing in AMARILLO, I've been playing with other bands as, WEST COAST BAND an FANTASY.
In 1997, after having a couple of years of a "break period" of playing music, I started as a "one-man-band"/trubadeur, travelling around different parts of Sogn & Fjordane and Hordaland County. I also released in 2005, my demo-CD, called "BORN COUNTRY".
Last year,in 2006, I got an opportunity in playing professionally with a band called STEINAR ENGELBREKTSON BAND, one of Norway's most poplular Country Dance-band. I acted on the last record called, "MIRAKEL", labbelled at TYLDEN RECORDS. On that record, I had all the keyboard-tracks and mainly all the vocal choir on it.
This fall, I went back to my "one-man-band"-status, and have quited playing with Steinar & the rest of the band. But, I will NEVER stop quitting playing COUNTRY MUSIC!
