Damp is the air, and all about is colour lost, and shadows vaguely cast, on yonder path, from candles tuck'd in midnite past, and moons shine on the meadow
Influences
What is the price of experience? Do men buy it for a song?
Or wisdom for a dance in the street? No, it is bought with the price
Of all a man hath, his house, his wife, his children.
It is an easy thing to.... listen to the hungry raven's cry in wintry season
When the red blood is fill'd with wine and with the marrow of lambs.
It is an easy thing to rejoice in the tents of prosperity:
Thus could I sing and thus rejoice:
but it is not so with me.
Sounds Like
Yahonk!! said the Goose.... and sounded it down to me like an invitation. The pert may suppose it meaningless but I know it's place up there in the Northern Sky.
Torin. A solo singer songwriter from England.
Hope you like the music.
Apart from the double single (as it were) which you can purchase as downloads from Indiestore.com/torinbrown, there are a couple of other tunes that came out of playing around in the studio. One is a cover of a song I really like by the David Sinclair Trio called "Going to do something", a song based on the life of Jimi Hendrix and the other is an instrumental which we loosely called "Road to Knoxville".Don't know why!!
Review of gig by noted music journalist for The Times newspaper.
"Torin Brown played a great opening set. His kind-of-Bob-Dylan-meets-Mike-Scot songs got a warm welcome - about the only thing that was warm in that place. Nice voice and some superb harmonica playing. I especially liked Waterline, an eloquent study in quiet desperation."
Best regards, Torin
Peace is the prerequisite for solving the urgent problems of the world, because terror and war are the opposite of social progress.
Peace today – between countries and nations, between religions and between people of all colors – creates the foundation for future peace between neighbors and generations. Only in peace can we solve the problems that plague humankind today and will, in future. Only peace establishes the opportunity for a livable future for all.
Love and Peace
