2001 Torn originated in Spokane WA, (Myles Kennedy of Alter Bridge) After about two years of writing, finding the right members, and playing a bunch of shows, Torn found Spokane to be too small for our goals and moved to Rhode Island, and it became a great jumping off point for Torn being so close to Boston and New York. Now in New England, the band started playing shows 6+ a month to get chops up, many of the clubs such as KC's Tap, The Livingroom, Jarrod's, Goodtimes in Boston JR's in Warwick, The Raven in Newport The Century Lounge and The Call, lots of great Providence spots full of Providence culture. Torn was signed A-Records (which folded) and started recording their first Professional demos out at Long View Farm Studio (Godsmack, Creed, Sevendust, Fuel, Rolling Stones, Aerosmith ect) This lead to getting picked up by Target retail stores to sell Reincarnate CD exclusively. 36,454 CD copies of Reincarnate Torn's first album has sold to date, and the single Remind Me also sold at Starbucks Hear Music for another 3,653 copies. A music video for Remind Me is featured on MSN.com to 7.2 million viewers a day. Torn just signed management deal with MRP MUSIC out of Hollywood CA to get work in Film TV and Commercials. This stemmed from interest in using our song The Game for the Major League Baseball. With the recent addition of second guitar player Matt Ribeiro, expect the old Torn with a new edge and even bigger goals.
