Began playing together in the suburb Kortedala in Gothenburg, Sweden.
After meeting ABBA:s manager on a boat trip from London to Gothenburg
Influenced by Hanoi Rocks and various bands from the 70s/80s
these punks started to play glam, Sleaze (Or some kind of rock n roll?).
Over the next few years demos are been recorded with various line ups, A few gigs are made Always too drunk... Quite fast The bands sound is changing
(From pure HANOI ROCKS rip off into more AC/DC kind of riffing)
After a few years the boys realize that the combination of drinking cheap wine & rehearsing ain't doing the works, Because nothing much happened....
So finally in 1991 the band is back again with the original line-up, And shit hits the fan...
TB was about to sign a record deal with Scandinavian Entertainment/Bad n Dangerous
But just a few weeks before the recording of "Eat This" Senap decides to leave the band!
A new drummer is found and the line up becomes:
Dan Ellström - Vocals
Kenny Gustavsson - Guitar
Bertil Nieminen - Guitar
Paul Vahala - Bass
Dan Rigtorp - Drums
"The only line up that ever got anything done" TB signs with a deal with S-C-E-N and Dan R has only a few weeks to get the beats together.
It turns out quite allright (!)
Tornado Babies debut album takes the critics by storm,
and it gets the highest points in all reviews!!!
T-B hits the road,
2 years later TB hooks up with Dille "Mr Summernight" Diedricson (Snöstorm, Don Patrol)
and the production for the second album "Delirious" is started. MUSIK/MUSIK is the record company that pays the bills
and releases the album in 1993.
One year later TB records a song called "Straight to hell" for a compilation album called "Garanterat ipluggat" that comes out in 1995. after this Danne calls it quits
A new drummer is found pretty fast, "Mats "Dojan" Hansson "a good old friend to the boys" starts to bang the drums.
the new line up: Dan Ellström - Vocals
Kenny Gustavsson - Guitar
Bertil Nieminen - Guitar
Paul Vahala - Bass
Mats Hansson - Drums
They start to fall into the same problems that they had back in the late 80s.
But somehow they still managed to record some demos and later on the track "jailbreak" for the compilation album "a salute to Ac/Dc" in 1997.
Also in 1997 TB does their "10 Year gig" at Sticky Fingers in Gothenburg/Sweden.
Later that year "Dojan" leaves the band to start playing the drums in Mustasch
and the rest is history!
Four tornado members actually played together again
on this side of the new millennium
in a band called THE HARRIETS
