Biography
Torie Glover-Hill
On January 12th, 1978, a baby girl met her divine appointment to enter into this life. She transitioned as a powerful and anointed “songbird”, to fulfill her God-given purpose that would bring her Creator all Glory, Honor, and praise. Her journey thus far, has been filled with great challenges, but her gift of song has been a consistent avenue used by God to bring healing and deliverance to His people
After her “Born Again Experience” in 2000, after a near death experience, she decided to submit and commit to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Her performances which began in church at an early age, has now become her ministry. She has allowed God to use her voice to bless others at concerts, weddings, funerals, banquets, church conferences, and community outreach programs. She has sung before hundreds of people exalting the name of Jesus.
She has participated on a project which was a part of a compilation effort album which featured local Christian Artists in her hometown. During a very difficult time in her life, she wrote and recorded several songs. The song that has remained close to her heart is “Just Call His Name”. It is a reminder that there was and always will be Power in the name of Jesus. The other original compositions are “Let Go and Let God” and “Come See About Me”. She is presently working on a song she performed freestyle entitled “Delayed but Not Denied”.
In 2004, she was the recipient of the National Gospel Artist Showcase Award for “Best New Artist” sponsored by Pink Luster. Most recently, she was named as one of the top 3 finalist at GMA Regional Competition in Nashville, TN October 12 - 13, 2007. She will be competing against the other 2 and the winners from the Texas Regional competition in Colorado "At the Rockies" in August 2008.
Presently, she is still allowing God to use her as His servant in the building of His Kingdom by serving as Minister of Music at her church, Followers of Jesus Christ Ministries, located in Birmingham, AL. God has given her increase as an Exhorter, Writer, and Psalmist with a prophetic anointing. This upcoming gospel artist is my daughter. My husband Ted and I are so blessed to be her parents. Her greatest supporters are her little treasures, Christopher and Kacie.
