About me:

I was my mom's Christmas present in 1962, Bitburg, Germany. Being an AF brat I had the privilege of traveling the world as I was growing up, meeting people with different backgrounds and cultures. I never knew what a privilege that was until I ended up in central Oklahoma 33 years ago. I've met many people who were born and grew up in the same place, something I always wanted when I was growing up. With my family moving every two to three years, I never had any close friends. Sometimes I feel like that stunted my capacity for close intimacy for years. I've given my children the opportunity to grow up with their friends and attend the same schools. I was all about staying home and taking care of my kids and being the good housewife until they got old enough to not need sitters anymore. I started college at the age of 41 and began to study for my Associates in Science, Biological Sciences degree. I almost completed that when a brain tumor took my husband's ability to ever work or drive again away. I found out about a medical program that upon graduation promises work, the CLT or Clinical Laboratory Technician program. I applied, got accepted, and began. I am almost finished now with hopes of going to work ASAP. I will be graduating May 7, 2010 with an Associates in Science degree for my Biological Science credits and an Associates in Applied Science for CLT. ....................
