I want a love that makes me regret how small my hands are— I mean the lines on my palms don't give me enough time to love as long as I'd like to type loves, and I want that makes me st-st-st-st-stutter just thinking about how strong this love is type love. And check this, I kinda feel comfortable now, so I even be fantasizing about walking out on a green light just dying to get hit by a car just so that I could lose my memory get transported to some third world country just to get treated then somehow meet up again with you so that I could fall in love with you in a different language just to see if it still feels the same type love. After gaining notoriety in Connecticut for my debut single "Be Yourself" I became a part of the WZMX Hot 93.7 radio team in Hartford, CT
but it didn't take long for yours truly to graduate to a much bigger market on Philadelphia's 100.3 and now on Sirus Xm radio!
After an appearance in the "Dime Piece section of The Source Magazine" and also being featured in the New York Post Tempo section as "One of the 50 Sexiest Singles in New York City". The Beat quickly gave me a call and brought me to the city of brotherly love. I had the #1 and #2 show in the market, where the streets embraced me very quickly, Philly is now my 2nd home.

When she's not making things happen on the air you can catch me hosting clubs, out in the community helping others on her own personal time,in the schools talking to kids,

ToshaMakia has experienced the in's and outs of the music industry both from the radio side and the recording artist side. She has had the pleasure of touring with Angie Martinez (from NYC's HOT 97) and performed on television on BET's 106 & Park, The Carson Daley Show, Jay Leno and The WB Morning Show.ToshaMakia has also performed along-side hip-hop legends LL Cool J, Nas, Busta Rhymes, Diddy, Trick Daddy,Ciara, Lil Kim and Ashanti are some of the notable artists with which I've been honored to share the stage with. "Its a wonderful experience" says ToshaMakia. ToshaMakia also had the great pleasure in interviewing artists such as TI, Mary J Blige, Mariah Carey, Fabolous, K Slay, Plies, Khalid, Beanie Segal, Peedi Crack too many to name but each interview is funfilled and keeps you wanting more of ToshaMakia
Being in the community and helping others, is what drives her each and every day.Whether in the club or volunteering at a soup kitchen, or hanging out at the local group homes with the girls who ToshaMakia calls her sister, ToshaMakia loves every single moment. She has also allowed the tristate to know her inside and out and has recently shared her experience of a domestic abusive relationship she was once in for nearly 15 years. She wants others to know she is no different than you and how women should love and respect themselves before loving anyone else.
