..Ms. Reagon is a classic “talent deserving wider recognition”—not just a hipster’s oddball taste. It’s a safe bet that she’ll never be a superstar as she shows zero interest in bending herself to fashion, glamour or trend, but her talent is as accessible as it is huge. Boasting a voice that can be either confessional or soul-shout broad and a bona fide songwriting talent, Toshi Reagon is a treasure waiting to be found....
Pop Matters****************************
...And still mixing it up. “Have You Heard,” Reagon’s sixth release, has her moving from rousing gospel-flavored refrains (the album’s title track) and churning soul grooves (“Didn’t I Tell You”) to tender reflections (“You“), political laments (“Down to the Water”) and a vintage rock cover (“Heartbreak Hotel”).
The Washington Post************************
Most people would just tell you that to truly understand how Toshi can seamlessly transcend all of these genres, you have to check her out live. She has earned countless rave reviews in the years that she has been performing. The New Yorker said ”...her live shows shower retro funk, urban blues, and folk on the audience with evangelical fervor. To hear her is to believe.”

A hate group from Kansas called God Hates Fags will be protesting against GAYS in various cities. They will be going to the Lexington Highschool, MA, to protest a play about Matthew Shepard (http://en. wikipedia. org/wiki/Matthew_Sheppard).
They get their funding by enraging onlookers to the point of causing violence against them, and then they sue the city for millions of dollars. So a group of people will be going to this protest to be an opposing force that stands silently, peacefully, refusing to stoop to their level.
