With the way things are at the moment, it’s easy to think that Hardcore is all about the big events and big name djs, but as much as we love them, it is important to remember that there has always been more to Hardcore than just these; and this is where the small events need to be recognised. It is the regular small raves that keep Hardcore topped up with fresh talent, where ravers can hear the new or lesser known DJ's bringing fresh ideas and new music to the floor.

The History!
Jay Prescott has been a DJ within the Hardcore scene for 15 years now playing at all the major Hardcore events in the UK and playing both Happy Hardcore & Hardcore Techno, giving him an invaluable insight of the scene that has turned him into a successful promoter.
The event originally started out at The Park Nightclub Manchester in 2002 with the emphasis in the Old Skool sound, however a change in the music policy to upfront Hardcore occurred as Jay recognised that ‘the quality of Hardcore music was improving vastly’ and so in 2004 the event ‘Totally Lost It’ came about. As well as running his own event, Jay went on to forge a successful collaboration with the event ‘Planet Bounce which also became known as Hardcore Nation’, hosting a Hardcore room @ The View Nightclub, Frodsham, once a month which continued even after the unfortunate closure of ‘The Park Nightclub’.
The closure of a venue has to be a blow to any promoter; venues are hard to find and venues that are suitable for a Hardcore rave are even more difficult to come by. So Jay put ‘Totally Lost It’ on hold and spent the next 6 months looking for somewhere suitable before finally finding a new home at the ‘Phoenix’ on Oxford road, Manchester. From there to more venues across the UK including Southport, Bolton, Nottingham, Rhyl, Frodsham, Shrewsbury & now the events current Manchester venue ‘Jabez Clegg, 2 Portsmouth Street, M13 9GB’- opposite University of Manchester Students Union and which is held every 4th Friday of the month, 10pm-4am. Dresscode:TRACKSUITS ARE NOT ALLOWED......
