To The Wedding is a Boston-based rock band, born from the songwriting of Oakland native, Lauren Grubb.
Before moving to Boston in December of 2008 to attend Berklee College of Music, Lauren toured behind the drum set in the San Francisco dream-pop band, Minipop. While the drums have been her primary instrument for 13 years, the guitar was her first love, and with a handful of home-recorded demos, Lauren arrived in Boston looking to find like-minded musicians to help bring her songs to life.
In April 2009, To The Wedding was complete with Boston natives, Addam Zaino on guitar, Evangelos Orfanos on drums and Samantha Hale on bass.
Together, the band has a clear passion for sound and relationship on stage, resulting in an expressive and dynamic blend of haunting vocals, melodic guitar lines, dissonant builds and bluesy overtones.
i am so glad to have met you!! your music is wonderful. i guesse newbury st is good for somethin sometimes. yeh i know kat and kara, they are awesome. we've played a couple shows with them and i am a fan of their music for sure. i will try to make it to your show on the 2nd. and maybe i will see you thursday!:)
When you said you were in a "rock band" I was expecting backbeats and 12 bar diddys. On the contrary, these songs float and haunt. Be sure to message me if you ever play in New Jersey or New York City.

Lauren, you're my favorite. Your music is fantastic. I can't stop listening to Set Fire. The MySpace music player is being a sassy lil' bastard though. Sometimes it doesn't want to let me listen to your songs. I say we write a strongly worded letter to MySpace and the interwebs as a whole.
