Après avoir partagé la scène à l'international avec Richard Bona et Lokua Kanza dans le projet afro jazz “Toto Bona Lokua”, ainsi qu'au sein du groupe pop Nouvelle Vague, Gerald Toto nous livre son nouvel album : Spring fruits.

Cristallisation de rencontres artistiques aussi riches que diverses, puisant ses racines dans les musiques américaines, ce répertoire nous emmène vers un monde acoustique contemporain, au confluent des rythmes pop, reggae, soul, blues et folk.
Fil conducteur d’un parcours musical si éclectique, la voix exceptionnelle de Gerald y exprime toutes ses couleurs.

Passionné et presque frontal, ce nouvel opus nous invite à partager un regard poétique et sans artifice sur un monde en mouvement.
Auto-produit, mixé par Mike Pelanconi (Lily Allen, Graham Coxon, Dub Syndicate, Natty, Prince Fatty,…), textes écrits pour la plupart par Alice Orpheus que l’on retrouve au clavier et au violon, accompagné par les talents de Janice Leca à la voix et Patrick Goraguer à la batterie, Spring fruits nous rappelle que Gerald Toto est un artiste qui se renouvelle constamment.

After sharing the stage all over the world with Richard Bona et Lokua Kanza through the afro jazz band : Toto Bona Lokua as well as with Nouvelle Vague (Bande à part), The new album is as much the expression of the birth of new artistic bonds as a journey into the roots of american musics which finally leads us back to an acoustic contemporary world.

Produced by Gerald Toto himself, mixed by Mike Pelanconi (Lily Allen, Graham Coxon, Dub Syndicate, Natty, Prince Fatty), words mostly written by Alice Orpheus, along with the talented musicians Janice Leca and Patrick Goraguer, Spring fruits remind us that Gerald Toto is an artist redefining himself constantly.
