I just left court and pleaded NOT GUILTY
Working off a tip, narcotics investigators with the Fort Bend County Sheriff's office obtained a search warrant and entered the home of 29-year-old Bryan Theroit. He is a professional musician, and the night that the narcotic team moved in, he was reportedly in L.A. attending the MTV music awards. Bryan Theroit is best known as Tow Down. He’s a Houston rap artist who performs rhymes about his country western roots, fancy cars, and marijuana. It was marijuana that investigators claim they found inside his home. They said inside his upscale house was a sophisticated hydro marijuana growing operation that included expensive hydroponic lights, generators and timers to simulate different growing seasons. In addition to the marijuana, investigators said they found numerous tablets of Hydrocodone, Alprazolam and ecstasy in Theroit's home. The marijuana plants are reportedly worth $1,000 each, and narcotics detectives said they found at least 50 growing in two rooms. The team cut the plants and confiscated the electronic equipment as evidence. A Fort Bend County Grand Jury indicted Tow Down, who was brought in without incident on Monday afternoon. “I’m going to let my attorneys figure this out,” said Theroit, when asked what he planned to do. Theroit has hired well-known defense attorney Kent Shaeffer to help him with his case.
