Our 1 influence is God. For the gifts and talents we have all been blessed with, as well as the supportive listeners and patrons He has provided. Without Him, none of us would be where we are today. A few of us have family influence, either growing up in a very supportive Christian home or performing with family/friends. There are numerous Christian artists that have paved the way for other Contemporary or Christian Rock bands that have influenced us as well, too many to name. We are grateful for them to have brought Contemporary Christian Music to the font lines, which has given us the opportunity to leave our mark on the battle ground as well.

We are here to let God's love, power, mercy, & grace reign over us and pour over everything that we say and do. We hope to live up to our name and show others through our ministry that GOD IS THE TOWER OF MERCY.
Changing band names from 10 Strings to Tower of Mercy with their first Album Release in July 2008 has proven to be a success for this 5 piece band. From the chemistry Alan Shuffler (Lead Guitar), his brother Steve Shuffler (drums), and their best friend Nathan Childers (bass) have from playing together since 1977, to the added song writing, vocal and acoustic abilities of Greg Crump joining in 2006, ending with the final band member in 2007 adding vocals and keys, Charity Shell. NEWS!! 2009 seems to be bringing new talent and energy as well. the band has picked up another member, Nikao Wallace, a young, talented Percussionist who has a lot to bring to the table! Each member adds their own style and flavor proving a captivating combination. They have a unique sound and style ranging from southern rock to country/bluegrass and contemporary Christian. The band has been blessed to have come this far and hope to continue in their music ministry, reaching out to as many people as they can. SIMPLE TRUTH There is a river of blessing whose never ending waters wash over us daily.
