About me:
I was the first Tower Records store to be opened outside of California. Big Daddy Russ brought me into existence in 1976 and opened my little brother in the University District not long after.
I've had a long-standing reputation for having the deepest and largest selection of CDs and DVDs in Washington State - a catalogue of over 70,000 CDs and 20,000 DVDs! My classical, world music, and jazz sections are virtually unmatched by any other retailer. I also stock a large selection of collectable and exclusive toys, a wide array of magazines and books, as well as MP3 players.
In my near 30-year stint in Seattle, I've had some truly incredible in-store performances. Daniel Lanois, Megadeth, Sonic Youth, Evanescence, Social Distortion, Los Lobos, Spearhead, Limp Bizkit, The Church, Richard Thompson, Todd Rundgren, Faith No More, Cowboy Junkies, Heart, Korn, Mazzy Star, Howie Day, Ted Leo, Elliot Smith, Vendetta Red, The Posies, Sky Cries Mary, Nels Cline, Atmosphere, and The Walkmen are just a few of the acts that have performed here.
