Arnie Kim.. (lead guitar/vox) is a professor of mathematics at UC Merced; .. Scott Gagner.. (guitar/vox/production) is a graphic designer who also records under the name Cartographer; .. Dan Weir.. (vox/guitar) is a writer who also helms the studio project, Orphan Town. .. Their debut release, "My Blue Heaven" features the talents of John-Paul McLean (bass), Richard Wood (organ), Jonathan Chi (guitar), and John Hofer who drums for NorCal stalwarts, The Mother Hips. Recorded under the redwoods by J. Chi at In the Pocket Studio, with overdubs in various home studios. .. ....Wow. WOW! There is a new alt-country band in town...and country... "My Blue Heaven" is the new EP from San Francisco's Town & Country. Actually, alt-country may be a slight misnomer. While there are hints of The Jayhawks, the softer side of Wilco, or even the Eagles, there is plenty of straight-up pop rock here, too (Finn Brothers come to mind, but Town & Country have a much better sense of humor).
