Townhouse Suite is an action-packed, non-stop, musical instruments and vocals rock band based out of Cleveland, Ohio. Its current line-up was formed in the spring of 2007 when original members Dustin Lato, Beau Livengood and Chris Zath incorporated Christopher Barkan into the fold. From that moment, they have fought the odds and battled adversity to achieve one, unified goal: to deliver a sound to audiences that gets their blood pulsing and their auditory sense crying for more.
Taking a foundation in legendary 90’s rock bands Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Stone Temple Pilots, then adding a diverse smattering of contemporary alternative-rock (i.e. Muse, Seether, Rise Against, etc.), Townhouse Suite has produced a sound that has been hard to label, but easy to embrace. When reflecting on this point, the band, its fans, and the general audience have made it clear that this was a quality that all listeners benefited from, due to the fact that it provided another option in an otherwise contracting musical scene.
Having performed with national acts such as Local-H, Trust Company and the Exies, Townhouse Suite has proven that their music can hold its own no matter who they are playing with or the audience they are performing for. They have also garnered compliments from those within the music business, including renown producer and musical engineer John Walsh, who, after helping the band record their first LP stated, “It’s been a while since I’ve had this much fun, or been this focused on my work. It has been a real pleasure for me to have worked with this band and their music.”
After spending several months in the studio during the winter of 2009, Townhouse Suite recently released their first full length CD, entitled "The Red Room", which has undoubtedly captured much of the get-up-and-move force the band puts into their live acts.
With a growing idea of the potential that the future holds, Townhouse Suite feels only they can set their limitations and looks forward to converting every listener to a true fan.
Everyone in the band would like to sincerely thank anyone who has made it to a show, encouraged us to continue playing, or even just gave our myspace page a look over. And feel free to leave any comments about the music, positive or negative, because they are valued.
Thanks,
THS
