We're a band from York. Our songs fit somewhere in between indie, rock and pop.... we're not quite sure. Bands we like include Belle and Sebastian, The Smiths, Paul Simon, Doves, Radiohead, The Kinks, The Beatles, Kate Bush, The Watanabes, Take To The Seas and many more.
We sing about terrible times, awful people, depressing houses, crippling jobs, broken relationships and attempts to kill children.
BUT ALSO the benefits of broadening one's mind in old age, the virtues of different countries, the beauty of the world, and helpful tips for young people looking for love.
Craig, Have a listen to mine and Jason's new band - still musing over a name! But we've got 3 demo's up, and acoustic version, and a couple of videos. The demo's were recorded by Jason, the lad's turned one of his rooms into a bit of a studio, and those college hours seem to be paying off! Let us know what you think, we need to do a Lincoln/York gig swap sometime :) Chris.
Hey there, Here's one from left field... Ever wondered what to do in the event of a nuclear threat? A while back I came across some very disturbing information, which inspired me to make this video: Living Under the Shadow of the Nuclear Umbrella www.youtube.com/watch?v=UaIim3Rj7L4 Both artistic (ensure you've good enough sound to enjoy the background music!) and educational, it primarily comprises official British government civil defence advice. Though the source materials are somewhat aged, the fundamentals remain relevant today. I encourage all to visit the YouTube web page above to learn more (Show your support! Rate! Comment!) and responsibly re-post and circulate as widely as possible. Help to raise awareness. Say have you checked out my web site (www.faberoptime.com) recently? Take care and keep in touch. Best, Faber. "Just a guy trying to make the world a better place."
