Back in the summer of ’94 there were 2 bands: The Isolated (alternative rock) and NomeSane (metalcore).
The Isolated was formed by M.Pronk (Lustre), M v/d Wal, R. Ploeg (Arado) and S. Brachel (Alehandro).
NomeSane consisted J.Harthoorn, G.Meijer, D.Bosker, WJ Kloet (Cohones) and D. Gaartman.
These formations lasted some years and in some time they mixed, Arado did some guitar and bass work for NomeSane. Later on (2003) Alehandro joined NomeSane (in that time it renamed itself as One Shot, One Kill).
Cohones and Arado formed a side project in 1998 called Unfix (trashmetal), which lasted a half year with one hell of a gig and was completed with L.Payne and D. Geestman (Both formely in Phlebotomized).
Brabo and Arado later did some work with Black Horizon (industrial) back in 2000. Horizon was formed by B.Leaf and Dr.No and is now a one man project.
Papa Brabo also formed a band (My every thought) with L.Payne, G.Meijer, M.Bijl (from Impassive), is not on the planet anymore...
Somewhere in the background there was a person called B.Overheid (Joz Fernandez), who played a while in the Isolated. He is the ancestor of Floodstain (stoner) (now operational in Spain).
In 2004 there were 6 guys that were distilled out of this complex story (and boy, did I forget a lot !!):
W.Cohones, Geronimo (J.Harthoorn), Alehandro, D. Geestman, Arado and Bosker.
After a year or two Geronimo, Geestman and Bosker had left the band which was called One shot.
By now Joz (singer and drummer), Cohones (lead guitar), Alehandro (rhythm guitar) and Arado (bass) continued under the name Towtruck..why ? Because life ain’t a drag ! No, I mean, our music is best discribed as dirty and draggin’ rock in the style of Fu Manchu and Karma to Burn.
In 2008 these fellows finally decided to record their shit and Smoke was born.
One week after finishing this, Joz moved to Belgium and then Spain...this was the time that M. Lustre joined the club and we continued as a band formed by friends.
In august of this year (2009) Paul joined the band as a singer, he is the lead singer of the band Tractor.
Now a days Papa Brabo is in Towtruck, Headlife (stadiumrock) and SAB (radiorock), also did some work with She Shall, NathaLee and many more.
Cohones has 2 side projects called Timbre (post rock) and BLOODDRIVEN (soundtrackmusic).
We are now busy on new stuff and workin’ towards some gigs with the new singer.

'Ook zo'n hekel aan de lijzige vocalen van Brant Bjork? Ook wel eens het idee dat de heren stonermuzikanten wel eens een schop onder hun hol kunnen gebruiken omdat het gewoon niet opschiet? Wel, daar hebben de heren stonermuzikanten van Oneshotonekill, Headlife, Floodstain en Tractor onder de naam TOWTRUCK wat op bedacht. Namelijk stonerrock die niet lijzig is maar doordendert. Briljant en helder gitaarwerk over een gruizige muur van distortion en fuzz. Gooi daar nog een zanger met techniek overheen en het melodieuze, langgerekte debuut 'SMOKE' is geboren. Sprankelend, en soms, heel soms doet TOWTRUCK je terugverlangen naar de CD 'Orange' van Celestial Season. En dat is een aanbeveling!'

End of 2008 : Papa Brabo joins TOWTRUCK on drums. Mr. Fernadez has left Holland to live abroad for an unknown period of time. So we are vocal-less at this moment.
