Johan ”toxjq” Quick is a legendary name in Quake competitions. He played his first PC game, Quake 1, when he was 10 years old and is now regarded as one of the world’s top professional video gamers. Toxjq is also regarded as the best TeamDeathmatch player in Quake3 and Quake 4.
During 2006 toxjq dominated the entire competitive season in Quake 4 by winning a sensational 8 of the 10 events he entered. He compiled a remarkable record during the World Series of Video Games by winning all six tour stops, including the WSVG World Finals in New York City. As a result of this impressive record, toxjq emerged as the premier Quake 4 player in the world. Known for his incredible aim and movements he possesses the drive and talent that defines a true champion.
In spite of his competitive nature, Johan is reserved and friendly. He feels that gaming has changed his life and he has built a reputation for being helpful to other players that want to improve their game. Quick’s recent interest in weight lifting has earned him the nickname “the Scharzenegger of video gaming”.
Toxjq recently won the Quad-Damage tournament at Quakecon 2007, which required competing in all four games of the Quake series, and furthering his reputation as the world’s best overall Quake player.
