"my my this is dark stuff indeed, seriously gnarled bump n’ grind electro groove from French duo Tox Tox who are San Tox and i Tox - two schizoid sound loving musicians who it appears have been much impressed and informed by a formative years upbringing mainlining on Atari console and 8 bit game consoles. We here are thinking very something for fans of early Casino Vs.Japan, the more accessible elements of the Tigerbeat6 back catalogue not to mention the wired vibes of Wagon Christ, Muslim Gauze and the Active Suspension imprint. Now how best to describe what’s happening here - well personally I’d go with mutant techno-sis drum n’ bass as your starter for ten, all grinding splatter paint bomb accents made up of fringe arranging head drilling dementia, very deranged and dislocated which I suppose in some eyes would be filed under grime, yet these blighters are cuter than that, beneath the minimalist maelstrom of lunacy, frenzied beats and skewiff futuro funk ruptures there’s an impish dis-quiet afoot here with ‘pppour Genevieve’ sounding particularly as though its on the verge of some senses seizing stricken meltdown with its playfully dinky and scorched white hot stuttering drop outs while personally for us it’s the ‘Mr Oizo Hun toxtox remix’ which proves to be the best thing here sounding as it does like a Dadaist Art of Noise fused with Front 242 and Einstuerzende Neubauten - all we’re saying is just make sure keep it out of earshot of kitchen appliances for fear of starting an orgasmic revolt." Tasman Richardson striked again with this a/v album composed like a tornado of micro samples. He cuts film like a surgeon cuts bodies to create new species. This creature is like a starving beast, fed by the power of mass media images. Tasman Richardson assembles his work image by image sound by sound generating an apocalyptic ambiance with an extreme accuracy and mastery of rhythm.
This DVD album has been released on the web (you can watch it for free) and as a Video DVD (ISO file) that you can buy for 5 €
