The band formed in 2004 in Kobe, Japan.
Originally consisted of 4 members (Vocals, Guitar, Bass, and Drums) and played shows, hosted their own events based in Kobe.
In 2007, they participated in a V.A named “Rice or Bread” and started playing shows out of their home towns. At the end of the year, leaving the youngest member Leighton on bass as the other members left the band. Mean while a new guitarist and drummer joined the band as Leighton became the bass vocals; they kicked off their new start as a three piece band. In 2008, many people gave their attentions for TOY LET being one of the youngest thrash hardcore bands in Kobe (average age 20 at that time). They’ve actively done many tour supports of different bands and gradually widened their activity.
At the end of 2008, they’ve participated in the “MAGMA JAPAN TOUR 2008” and managed to play shows with THE NEW YORK DOLLS, BIOHAZARD, and HARLEY’S WAR at ZEPP OSAKA. At the same time they were able to associate with KON (record label).
In 2009 March, they went on their first overseas tour (Korea) not limiting their activities to only Japan.
In Sept.2009, they have took part in MAGMA 09' being able to be one of the tour supports of THE EXPLOITED, G.B.H, DISCHARGE, and Harley's War. At the same time they have brought Harley's War (from Cro-Mags) to their home town Kobe to play in their event REDUCE POVERTY! "KEEP TOY LETs CLEAN".
A month after that their guitarist Wakitani left the band having Jo as their new guitar.
TOY LET is currently working on collecting donations and donating a certain percentage of their profits (from merchandise etc.) to support the developing nations.
Believing that, “There are people all over the world suffering from dehydration, people with no sins currently losing their lives. We don’t take our daily lives for granted. There are things we can do. This is our style of HARDCORE.”
