Trailer Park Sex Cowboys were formed in late 2000 by original vocalist Jamie Greer (aka Johnny Ten-Inch) and guitarist Ron Putt (aka Roni Gatling). They enlisted drummer Mike Moore (aka Mike Morlock) and bassist Stayce (aka Dirty Sanchez) and completed the line-up.
They started playing around Windsor and Southern Ontario beginning in December of 2000. They released an EP, entitled "Suicide Star", in spring of 2001. The first pressing sold out quickly. During a summer of sex, drugs and sleaze-tinged rock and roll, they were approached by infamous rock journalist Sleazegrinder out of Boston, Massachussets to "donate" a tale of rock and roll debauchery to a project of his and in 2003, the TPSC's tale of "The Goop Girl" appeared in Sleazegrinder's book "Gigs From Hell: Tales from the Rock and Roll Frontline" on Headpress Books.
In August of 2001, they ditched their glam rock roots for a darker, goth-tinged direction, taking the name Angels of Addiction (named for a prior project of Greer and Star's). As the AoA, they released one EP, "Slave", which garnered favourable reviews from many press circles. Dark Entries Magazine out of Toronto, Ontario raved that they were "emotionally driven hard rock...reminiscent of alternative rock before it became mainstream..."
By September, tensions mounted over the direction of the band and the creative differences lead to the dismantling of the group. Star returned to St. Catharines and Greer parted ways with Putt and Moore.
In spring of 2002, Greer, Putt and Moore reunited for an unplugged performance and, while Greer and Putt continued to write and record together, they would never officially reunite as the TPSC.
In late 2004, Putt formed an all-new Trailer Park Sex Cowboys with new members. A new album was recorded by the new TPSC in early 2005 entitled "Greatest Hits Volume 1" with all new material. The TPSC legacy finally came to an end in early 2007, when Putt formed a new project entitled EraMessage.
Jamie Greer has also taken a swerve from the darkside of glamrock to the darkside of outlaw country (a la Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Hank Williams) as the lead singer in The Hung Jury. They've recorded two albums, 2003's "Whiskey Business" and 2004's EP "ItchyDrinkinFinger", and are currently wrapping up recording on their new EPE "Where The Horse Bit Me" (tentatively due out early 2007). He also joined the psychedelic rock band The Golden Hands Before God Conducts Incredible Magic Band & The Spirits in August 2006.
Meanwhile, Stayce has re-emerged as the newest force in the Southern Ontario rock band Hemitone. One of the area's top live draws, they are currently recording their second CD, "Zero 260".
